In the Trench

Topic:
war
|
Encompassed by dark
Hounded by thoughts
Terrified by sounds
Hoping for hope
Wishing for home
Never Sleeping
Always fearing
Alone but surrounded
The howling of death
The ferociousness of man
Feeling the bitter cold
Life in slow motion
Missiles streaming past
Holding the cold steel
Just a normal night
With my head in the sand

This is an awesome write!
We need more of this type writing as it's much a reality.
I've never been a soilder but once married one and my son was in the Army.
I've oftened wondered how it fellt to be in a fox hole without doing it ofcourse.
Keep writing 'cause we all need to know these feelings. I already know about the sacrifice u make with your luved ones jus to keep us out of harms way.
God bless u 4 this write.
huggs,
emy |
