What Is Love

Contributed by O7NeVeS on Monday, 27th December 2004 @ 05:27:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Love, what is love, is it all those clichés
Making you weak in the knees
Leaving you unable to speak not knowing what to say
Love at first sight, does it really exist
Or is this a saying, that is truly amiss
How long does it take, before you’re in love
Seconds, minutes, hours, or days, weeks, and months
How do you know, if you indeed have fallen
Is your body doing, some sort of calling
Are you at the point, that you just can’t think straight
Or do you know, that what you’re experiencing is just great
Whether it be love, infatuation, or lust
You in my life, is a definite must

I think when it is love, you know it in your heart. And I think you have found it,considering how much you seem to value this person in your life.Nicely written,
PumpkinPie

You'll think I'm totally whack..no problem..lol. I know a poem is good when I start re-arranging it..I take it as though it were my own. I did it with this when I started reading..not stealing..just in my head..lol..because I like the idea and so I get my own flow going.. yep..lust is a must..lol.

Love is all of what you question in your poem, except those feelings lead one to Die for--- Meaning when you really care for someone you would give yourself to save that person.Heed the often time stories that come across on the news.Good poem good write. I enjoyed it. :)

I love this poem. Is there anything that you left out that might describe love? I relate to a couple of the lines. I love the flow of this one. 33
