Why Is It Difficult?

Why is it difficult?
To be the person on the outside
That you are in your heart
Put aside the petty disagreements
And make a fresh new start
Not be afraid to lose a battle
Learn to compromise instead
Choose to look through rosy glasses
Rather than always seeing red
Allow the emotional insecurities
To have no effect on your life
Climb down the latter of independence
Rather than take on new height
Accept that two hearts are better
When living in one accord
That no man is an island
And there’s only one supreme Lord
Forgive with the purist of hearts
Celebrate each day as if it was your last
Understand that happiness is true wealth
Which can’t be measured in turns of cash
Make love instead of war
Swallow your pride and not your praise
Look for simple in the complex
Believe there is always a way
Pull closer together rather then apart
Find comfort in each other’s arms
Build a forest around one another
Protect each other from harm
For this New Year make a pledge together
Strive each day to see it through
To have a more fulfilled relationship
That’s all you have to do
