That Night

Contributed by vanessamay on Sunday, 26th December 2004 @ 10:08:37 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

As we run through the wet
You take my hand
The warmth of your touch
Is so grand
That it makes me forget
The worst of my fears
I am as free as a bird
Or just like any animal
Away from the herd

You take me to your car
So new and blue
I stop and feel
The feelings I have
that are so true

These feelings are real
Because now I can see
Just how great things can be
When it's just you and me

We enter your car
Your hand touches my hip
And guides me to sit

Now there is no rain
You ask if i'm cold
But there is no reply
No words could describe
How I felt at this moment in time

Is that a smile I see?
When you're looking at me
Or is it just my imagination
Of what 'm wanting it to be

But there it is again
This time with a move
Your arm forms a bend
And your hand strokes my face
I now get the urge
To decrease the space
Between you and I

Now you've got me
In your arms
I feel so good
I love all your charm
That you seem to have
No matter what place

This is what draws me to you
I will never forget this night
Not ever
For it was just us two
