Arise, and depart, sleepless love.
Thy cold scepter in the sky;
Cut in twain!
And yet knows no pain.
Crumble into dust.
Let darkness reign.
All that gleams cannot be gold.
For the nights are now adorned--
with glitt'ring deceit.
False twinkle in thine eye, depart the skies!
I am weary, let me sleep!
Please, let me be!
