Go ahead, tell them I slipped, tell them I fell, tell them I hit my head against the wall.
Go ahead, you lying *****, tell them your stories and don't even flinch.
'Cause these black and blue bruises all over my skin are nothing compared to the pain I feel within.
My heart, like my body, has been broken and bruised
my feelings are torn like the flesh on my face.
Everytime I smile while you lie by telling them you love me
I am crying and dying and screaming on the inside
waiting and hoping for someone to hear me
and look beyond the false gleam in my eyes and see the tears I am trying so hard to hide.
