A tortured, restless soul.

A lonely evil removes its veil.
Shrouded the truth, covered the pain.
There is no shriek, hardly a wail.
A tortured, restless soul broods.
A mercury prism restricts freedom.
Taunts the innocent, indulges the guilty.
There is no mercy, it satisfies the bordom.
A tortured, restless soul cries.
A primitive genius warps reality.
The child is dead, the shell remains.
There is no laughter, no validity.
A tortured, restless soul tires.
A victorious defeat spoils the agony.
Purifies the lifeless, condemns the living.
There is peace in cotton, earth and mahogony.
A tortured, restlress soul sleeps.

Interesting write. The rhyming pattern is different from what I'm used to, but it was a nice change. Great job! |
