A Painless Fallout

Watch the sun break through the gray
The cold that covers earth today
The snow and slush that keeps us here
Leading lives while stopped in fear

Run now forward with eyes down
Passing time, but make no sound
Flee the light and don't forget
The time I said "We'll catch you yet."

Shaking hands and colder hearts
With emptyness, all love departs.
Speak to me in simple lies
But please don't waste the time it buys.

Tonight, with you, I'm begging for the fall.
Never imagined that this wouldn't hurt at all...

I really enjoyed this poem because its actually a subject i havn't thought about too much but i can relate to a lot. It was written very well and personally brought back a lot of memories. I like your style of writing in this particular poem. My favorite part was "Speak to me in simple lies, But please don't waste the time it buys". Even your title "A painless fallout" speaks volume!
