Game Over (reposted)

Contributed by Jakenstein on Saturday, 25th December 2004 @ 01:44:59 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

All my life
I've been searchin for something that isn't there
All my life
I've been playin a game that isn't fair

I've gone my whole life
Living with all this pain
I've gone my whole life
Searchin for answers in vain

Everyday of my life
I try to figure what it's all about
Everyday of my life
I feel like I need to get up and shout

Every single day
I run away and hide
Every single day
I wish that I had died

Someday soon
I hope it will all be okay
Someday soon
I hope I will know what to say

I'm living this life
In misery and pain
I'm living this life
Everyday drives me insane

I'll never find the answer
Love is the hardest thing to find
I'll never find the answer
I keep searchin but I'm just blind

So now I'll just wait
For someone to come to me
So now I'll just wait
For someone to make me happy

But for now
The Game is over for me
But for now
The Game has yet to make me see

One day I will win
I will beat the game of Love
One day I will win
I will have help from above

The poem itself made me feel the repetitive of life.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
