the answer

Contributed by polishkiss on Saturday, 25th December 2004 @ 10:39:35 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Sick of pretending
Sick of hiding the truth
Full of doubt
Easy to break
Shall I end it all?
Shall this be my answer?
To the question long forgotten
Been in the darkness to long
Forgot the sight of light’
All I feel is pain
Take me away
End it all
Burning up from crying on the inside
Can’t show anyone my pain
Gotta be perfect
Trapped in a box
The lock long rusted
There’s no escape
Tired of crying, pretending
Shall I end it all?
One twist of the knife
Deep in my veins
Handful of pills, make me forget
Closer to the end
Just take it away
Make it end
Should this be my answer?

This a well written poem, although I have a hard time with the subject. Suicide is an out, but not the answer.
