Feel the flames,
Slowly creeping up my body,
Burning flesh
Melting me away
Erasing me forever from this world
Erasing my hurt, my pain
These burning flames doing what,
I didn’t have the courage to do
Children laughing, playing
Lovers, walking hand in hand
No one notices
As I stand in the middle,
Screaming at the top of my lungs
Someone look at me, acknowledge me
Let me know I matter
The flames, burning me away,
Turning me to ash,
To be blown away by the wind,
Forever forgotten
