I've been hiding behind this laughter for far too long
I can't make myself happy; I can't fix what I've done wrong
Time has only given me more sorrow and despair
You'd never see it through this smile that I wear
I wish I had someone to talk to, to help me through the night
Because I'm not gonna lie, things aren't alright
I'm spiraling deeper into this hole, it's so dark and cold
I'm drowning in tears that I can't control
There has to be something more for me
Something else besides all of this pain and misery
I've been told that God does this to make you stronger
But it's too much for me to handle for much longer. . ..

This is so sad, but I really like it a lot. The flow is great, and in every line the reader can sense your emotion. Excellent write. |

That's a very meaningful stanza, and something I've felt in the recent past quite a lot. I've found that God does indeed make us stronger through this, but not in the way we think. It is by surrender, by giving up our own selfish pride, that strength is found. By admitting ourselves weak, we find new strength.
Very good work here. Words and flow are both excellent. Keep it up!
