Two-Thirty-Eight

Contributed by alecfernadez on Thursday, 23rd December 2004 @ 04:59:43 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

It all started with a simple innocent kiss,
And from that moment I was far from lost,
Deep into the depths of her mind, the one I love
Far from the warm safe realm of sanity,
I dig deeper into this tangled web of thought;
won’t last forever

Flesh against flesh, mind against mind, soul against soul,
Stories within that have never been told,
We join as one creature for that moment in time,
Blinded in darkness, reborn in true light,
This verse of love in a magnitude beyond all;
Cannot last forever

The end is coming, yet were are still intertwined,
Never letting go, from this pure, warm, bliss,
Our lips still alive and our hands stuck together,
Our pure essence now stronger than ever,
We know that any second the end will come near;
This second will last forever

The wreckage of Flight two-thirty-eight lay ablaze,
Bodies lie; still burning from kerosene,
Fire engines struggle to put out the fire,
As the remains of the lost souls smoulder,
They notice two bodies holding each other dear;

Their burnt black lips still interlocked;
Their minds still connected;
Their souls fly high;
Now part of the sky…
