Kiss away my tears
As they fall,
Lest they escape
To the ground,
To sew the seed
For another girl
Such as I.
The world needs not
Two of I.
Why,
It needs not even one.
Pretend not,
We’ve all thought that
One time or another.
The skeletons in our closets,
They dance together,
In the light of the full moon,
Whispering secrets and deceit
Through moth-eaten lips;
Singing sombre songs
Over time-woven tongues.
As one, they s w a y,
Joints moaning,
Tendons groaning,
Sinew snapping,
And muscles melting.
Rocking roughly
To
and
fro,
Beneath the bows
Of the barren
Weeping willow.

I really enjoyed this one. I like how it all came together in the end, and the imagery was great. Excellent job. |
