And as I enter hell

Contributed by blacksabbath026 on Thursday, 23rd December 2004 @ 03:49:22 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

As i see my fate befor me, the dread builds
I want to cry, but i wont give them the satisfaction
I see the masked man approach the switch
The switch of death, I know my fate is near
I start to remember, my life, my loves
I start to remember your death
The feeling of the knife as it penetrated
Your devine heart, the feeling of regret
When i realized what i had done
Your blood as it washed off of my hands
The way i cried for weeks on end
This all seems like a horrible nightmare
I see my executioner throw the metal switch
I feel the electric current as it cooks my insides
My last thoughts were of you, the love i destroyed
And as i enter hell, somehow i am relieved

I love the line "I want to cry, but i wont give them the satisfaction". Very hard core. By the way, love sabbath!

very good write. here in alabama we use the electric chair, which i guess made this more real to me since its used so often. interesting topic to write about, and interesting twist at the end. everything that has a beginning, has an end, and i guess regret is the same.
