to be honest
yes, honest
(don't stare at me like that
with your jaw on the floor
i know it's unusual)
to be perfectly honest
i am sick of you
(don't get all indignant
i know you were sick of me first
it's not like you have some kind
of monopoly on being sick of people)
i am sick of dreaming about you
and the way you look at me
sick of the way
the light falls onyour hair
as i stumble over myself
to make up excuses for my loss of pride
(how many times did i call you
after you hung up on me?
how many times did i let the phone ring,
hoping that this time you would pick up
and listen to me beg one last time?)
but i am sick of you
sick of the way i am so sick over you
and that is the honest truth

Nice job. I was able to sense the emotion in it. Thanks for sharing
