Fully consumed by the wrath of darkness,
I can see no light nor feel any joy.
It’s taken me captive and ensnared me
within it’s dark depths.
The prisoner of darkness, I long to see the light again.
To feel the warmth of the sun’s ceaseless rays.
To once again experience ecstasy and joy,
to remember how it feels to be loved,
to know what it’s like to care about anyone or anything.
I lust to carry and emotions within my heart
and break free from the numbness
the darkness has cast upon me.
The light I wish to see,
to sense,
to know once more.
Yet I have been completely engulfed,
too far to ever recall the light again.

This is awesome. I can really relate. I especially like the line that says, "The prisoner of darkness, I long to see the light again." Keep up the great writing.
