Am I a tool,
To use as you please?
Am I a replacement,
To help the pain ease?
Am I here to serve,
You as my sire?
Am I just here,
For your lustful desire?
Am I some toy you can just throw away?
Some object that you can say
Is yours. Only to impress?
Just some trophy, you can undress?
Knowing that you have complete control,
Over my entire soul?
You treat me like a common slave,
But I guess it’s my fault too.
Not standing up for myself.
But then again,
I can’t.
I have no power.
I can never say no to you.
Your not the man I used to know,
But you look exactly the same.
I will always be,
Exploited,
Abused,
Mistreated
and
Reused.

A powerfully tragic and well written write. You have a very readable style that conveys your message, a horrible message of mistreatment. I know you feel powerless, but at least check this: http://nccanch.acf.hhs.gov/topics/prevention/index.cfm --- maybe you can get the assistance you need to make your life better. |

Ok, just to clear up some things. This poem was based on a book I read, the main character was abused by her boyfriend. The poem is not meant to be quite so literal as it comes across. I just wanted to say that this has nothing to do with my love life, but of fiction in my local library. |
