Another Love-Another Place

Beneath the moon that now wears no smile-
You stop to ponder for just a short while-
And to the stars above you bear your soul-
Asking why love lingers not and had to go…
Searching about within your uncertain mind-
No explanations are you able to find-
And nary a reason for the ache that you feel-
Yet here you are standing alone, the pain is real…
Upon the winds are carried your words of fear-
The future for you now seems so unclear-
And your tears are now cast upon a great lake-
As your past you find you must forsake…
Softly spoken are your words of remorse-
For the past now gone is no longer tomorrows coarse-
And your heart once filled with loves bright light-
Like the robin in the winter, has taken flight…
Your clothes are now stained in warm red-
And visions no longer mingle about within your head-
For your own life you have just now taken-
All because of your love that was forsaken…
Open your eyes now and look all around-
A new love your heart has now found-
And you did not chance to see deaths face-
It was only a dream of another love and another place…
