The northern wind blows
A icy chill grows
Days are to night
Winter is about to take flight.
As comes the first snow
Clouds of white
Swriling gray
Night is as bright as day
Clouds of pink
Fire alive.
Temps fall into the teens
As we try to stay alive
Bitter cold
Jack frost bites
Just looking through
the windows
As earth is covered with a
blanket of snow
One foot
Two feet
Three feet deep.
No where to go but stay
in the heat
Sickles form from
Rooftops and eves
As winter takes flight
To bring us
To our knees
As the northern wind blows
A icy chill grows
Clouds of white pink silver
And gray.

This is an amazing write, Dennis... I have never experienced snow but you have great imagery here... and it gave me a pretty good picture of winter...
Thank you.
