Tormented

Contributed by Mangs on Tuesday, 21st December 2004 @ 11:51:23 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

The thoughts that torment my mind never letting up.

The pain and sorrow I feel, you couldn't imagine.

Why then, why can't I forget you?

I know if I remember you, It will only rise that ball of anger:

the scrutient I feel.

You are the complete opposite of me.

My life has succumbed to despair.

Your life Is meaningless.

The beauty in this poem comes from its short yet sharp style. It's a huge temptation for writers to drag their pain out for as long as possible. Sometimes this can work quite well but its refreshing to see pain expressed in such a life like way. Sharp, deep and hard hitting. I can almost taste the agony expressed in this poem, well done.
