Letter To My Illness

Contributed by pixie on Tuesday, 21st December 2004 @ 09:40:51 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You thought you had my for real this time,
That against me you could commit this crime,
That you could push my love away from me,
Leave me with no wanting to exist no wanting to be.

You had hold on my throat & wouldn’t let go,
Hurt me so much with each callous blow,
You laughed as I fell you laughed as I was dying,
You shown me no mercy you kept on trying.

To kill me to end my unhappy life,
Dared me to consummate my death with a knife,
Whispered that I might as well die as I was no good,
That I had nothing but hate swimming in my blood.

I listened for a long while I almost gave you your wish,
I brushed with the reaper I gave him a kiss,
But you wanted more you wanted me to give in play dead,
You implanted those evil voices inside my head.

You were the cause behind my pain, hate & hurt,
You spat in my eye & then tossed me in the dirt,
Left me for dead you finally turned your back,
That was the perfect opportunity for my deadly attack.

Wow pixie! Really intense!! Loved it! I have felt like this pretty much all my life, so I know what you're going through, honey... An excellent title! Enchanting, filled with pent up rage, and a yearning for revenge.... LOVE IT!! Just finished writing one like this, lol. Take that opportunity, pixie, while you still have it. Captivating till the very end! I hope you are getting better! Revenge is sweet, no? Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Beautiful write. Pen on, pixie! This place would be nothing without you! Much love. Forever,

Fleur de Sang

Pixie, A very powerful emotional write. The format of a "Letter To My Illness" is certainly creative; and the tone of your current strength really comes through.

Great write, hope to see many more

Illnesses are such a pain in the rump. The strip us of our spirit and pin us down as if we were some unsuspecting prey. Until we find the courage to stand up and say 'HEY!'.
