It’s all so numb,
I’m never here,
I fade further and further away
And you just disappear,
So far gone, unsure of where I am…
I’m up, I’m down,
Trying to feed this addiction,
To you, to him…to everyone and no one,
It’s too much, all at once,
But never enough.
I feel it all closing in around me,
Running away, I’m in too deep…
Fading so fast, they can’t know,
That I will never this last…
Deafened by the pain,
Someone old, someone new, it’s all the same.
Over and over,
Constantly trying to fill this void,
I am unable to feel.
When you say that you love me.
You speak but I hear nothing…
It all goes black,
You can’t love what you haven’t had,
You don’t know,
That this is not who I am.
Finding comfort behind these walls…
Feeling so empty, so lonely
Anticipating my next fall…
Fearing being found out,
I’m exhausted,
It’s been this way for so long,
Here beside you,
I have always been gone.

that was an amazing, and it pretty much exactly how i would describe the way i felt when i was depressed. sort of hollow, and blank behind the eyes. well written, extremely accurate.
especially liked the lines
"You speak but I hear nothing…
It all goes black,
You can’t love what you haven’t had,"
