I don't know.
I need sleep.
Slice pale wrists
Paper thin
Watch them transform
Into cerise snowflakes
D r i f t i n g on the breath
Of the cool polar bear’s sigh
Bending
bare
branches
Of winter-nude trees
That
shake
and
shiver
And clutch fiercely at their
Cloud-fallen blankets
Finding warmth in frost
Laughing quietly
(No louder than a whisper)
Gazing gladly at giggling children
Bundled uncomfortably
To fight off the inevitable chill
While waiting patiently
For the glittering snowfall
To alight gracefully
On lingering tongues
Born from a cloud
Living in the air
Dying on a child’s soft gasp
To be reborn in time
In a place of numb essences
Where the dead creatures sing
Dark, solemn hymns
And the living beings rot
To a drum-less beat
And a timeless instant.

Thanks for the comment on "Failed"
I really like what you wrote here. It's like a dark christman. I was getting cold just reading it. Very good stuff! |
