Drops of Water

Contributed by Blu on Monday, 20th December 2004 @ 05:33:47 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

There is a voice
that falls with the rain
like drops of water
it cascades down
darkness
or
some other
impenetrable black

into nighttime stories
and dreams
where children speak
in harsh whispers
of the things to come

things that were or are
and some that will be

those that move slowly
like drops of water
or the lips
of a lover

lips that long
to commune
with divine
or immortal things

wings upon wings
those that live forever
on just a kiss
or a touch of the hand
grazing fingers
and steady gazes

and the absence of light
where such things
are forgotten
and only a breath
can be heard

a breath
that falls with the rain
like drops of water
which cascade down my skin
or some other
impenetrable
dark

Beautifully written. Your imagery is unparalleled much like your talent to capture the emotion you're feeling. I love this piece.
