It's what I live with everyday
Something I regrettably cannot ignore
The constant knowledge of what comes next
I just wish I could know more
The consistency of its omnipotent presence
Haunts me day and night
While the burning inside me for something new
Screams and tries with all its might
To find in me a different path in which to lead my life
Few things in life I need for constant to remain:
These are my family, my closest friends, and the ability to stay sane
Without these things I'd fall apart
But still pounding within my heart
Would be the tormenting speculation of all those around
Living their lives as though glued to the ground
With no intentions of exploring new heights,
They remain in a hole, seemingly out of sight
Invisibly passing through each hour of each day,
They stroll easily past others' toil and dismay
In comparison, Might I be the same?
In an attempt to be different, To in each day seek surprise,
Might I be conforming to the normality of their lives?
