HEAR THE LOUD-MOUTHED

Contributed by steeleyes on Monday, 20th December 2004 @ 10:08:04 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

The loud-mouthed so-called “christians”
They just love their own voices
“You can think what you like”
“As long as they're MY choices”

These arrogant “christian” bigots
Love to shoot their big mouths off
Acting like the idiots
They accuse others of

With small minds and ugly tongues
These low-brow ******** crow
Not knowing for a moment
How pathetic they still grow

These sad, brainless “christians”
With their brains in their ***
Hearts full of hate
Who really have no class

If only the REAL Jesus Christ
Could see them and come back
He’d really show how to curl a lip
At these bigots now who lack

Even a touch of modesty
Humility? Now that’s a laugh!
These folks are simply dregs
From an *** of “holy” calf

These mindless little bigots
Who like to crow in hate
When they reach their heaven
They'll be turned back at the gate

Do they never see themselves?
And their sneering hate-filled face?
Can they even START to conceive
What it means to live in grace?

Loud, arrogant “christians”
They make a travesty of the name
These sad, prejudiced bigots
Would make Jesus hang his head in shame

ahhh... christians, don't you just love to hate them and their sick sweet derision. I'm reminded of when i went to this christian college and all the fake christianity that i was assaulted with each day. Reading this poem brings back all the old fired of hate that burned within me as i watched them raise their hands in praise to their... whatever it was. I do concur, if christ were to see what christianity has become he'd have to insist on a few changes, and i wonder if it would be a pleasant ordeal.

It's easy to hate people you don't know.
Seems to me Christ calls each of us to look within ourselves. We each stand alone at the gate, and only He can or will stand with us.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor [ Lev. 19:18] and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you: Love your enemies [ Some late manuscripts enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you] and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew 5:43-45

The words of Christ

This is for stitch, your religious fervor has shown that you are no different from those that are referred to in this poem. Seriously, look at how you barge into this comment space, so self righteous with your bible verses, preaching like a lunatic from a baptist pulpit. On my own behalf, i must thank you for making the content of this poem all the more real, you silly little christians sure do make me smile. And when you die and find that there is no rapture, no second coming, and no thousand year kingdom. You'll regret all the wasted years you spent vainly chasing a fictional shadow of hope.
