LostLove

Reality hurts, to flee is a lie,
Nothing can ease the sorrow of mine.
I lost you for good, now I’m alone.
Now I’m just sitting and crying at home.
I don’t know how, and don’t know when.
Don’t know if, I’ll be happy again.
Once again I’m lost, despair I welcome thee.
Everybody’s laughing, what is it that they see?
I think I missed my line, he took you away.
Now my chance is over, now I’m here to stay.
You escaped my reach, you're out of my vision.
I won’t let it happen again, and that’s my decision.

my girlfriend and i split up about two months ago after we'd been together for almost five years. I feel almost exactly as this poem puts it, alone... lost.... despair... all these things have now become only too familiar to me. I long for reprieve or escape. |
