Last Goodbye

Contributed by gabby521 on Monday, 20th December 2004 @ 07:29:27 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

A girl
Who thinks about him all the time
A boy
Whose friends just can't compete
Leave eachother
For the night
His kiss still lingers on her cheek

In her room
She shuts the door
Lies down her head
And dreams of him
Driving home
His mind explores
The beauty of their relationship

Her morning
Comes in sudden haste
A ringing
From her bedroom phone
A "Good Morning"
From him she gladly awaits
Instead,
His mother's desperate tone:

"He left this world and us last night,
The red light he had failed to see."
For in his delerium of delight,
With her his thoughts did wander free.

As years of Solitude
Turn her gray
She thinks fondly
On their past.
Of their one night together,
That sweet Goodbye
For indeed
It was their last.
