Remaining Pain

Contributed by sean88 on Sunday, 19th December 2004 @ 01:31:08 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I can’t go on
It hurts like hell,
My heart is broke
I feel unwell,
The pain won’t stop
And ceases to ease,
It’s growing worse
I’m getting worried,
I feel so alone
Although I do share,
They tried their best
But my heart doesn’t repair,
I’ve looked around
To help move on,
No-one comes near
As she’s my icon,
I know it’s sad
I shouldn’t care,
As you said before
It’s going no-where,
I was just a crush
We never got far,
Never went out
That’s why it’s bizarre,
I should move on
As you have already,
But what I feel
Is remaining steady

Feelings are tough... I liked the part where you said she was
your icon; and the part where you said "they tried their best /
but my heart doesn't repair"... I really felt that I can relate to that.

This brought out a lot of feelings in me and I thought you did a good
job putting your feelings out there.
