Dark Love

Topic: DarkPoetry

Oh, yes, she wanted him,
that much was true. But
she also wanted to taste
his life, so she might be
renewed.

It was a game of cat and
mouse, as they walked a
shared path between two
worlds. One looking forward
with one looking back,
shifting gears and finding
new positions.

And, as he lay there prone
to her intentions, his life
she slowly supped.

Of course, there was much
more to the game they played.
The pain of pleasure and the
pleasure of pain.

He’d tease her and she’d whip,
drag nails along his back. They’d
cycle like the seasons that change
ever so swiftly as emotions
would rage.

Her life he would take, with great
care and ease. In part, it was give
and take, if you please.

He’d woo and she’d scream.
He’d shy away and she’d plead.

And when her voice fell silent,
as the Moon did weep her silvery
tears mixed with the rain, he’d
reach out with a gentle touch,
a stroke upon her cheek.

But in the end, they would
always embrace with a kiss.
Partaking of that sweet life
which coursed with rage and
passion within the veins.

Their dark love, a gift of life
and death where no soul reigns
