The following words, we wish weren't said,
Such thoughts forbidden from your apathetic head.
Just this week, two more are dead.
But still, we carry on.
Warmly we stay inside the home,
Complacency unchallenged, no emotion shown,
Our pockets lined and the numbers grown,
But still, we carry on.
In the cold, your brother shook,
He brings you discomfort, so you don't look,
His poverty's shame, so call him a crook,
Then still, we carry on.

I agree with pixie, about the homeless, I try to buy the Big Issue when possible.
Back to of course the main topic I thought that was most excellent, good job. |

I think I need more of a story for me to emote with this. A few more stanzas and I think I'd re-read it.
Keep writing. |
