To My Mother

This a poem to my mother, whom I love more than words can say
whose life was stolen by an invisible thief.
You were a kind, unselfish mother
who gave all that she could, whilst you were getting so much taken out of you.
You would be in the hospital for months at a time
but you perservered and stayed faithful.
It was your faith that inspired me. I know now
that we do not learn from books, but from the people
we love most
and that we should learn as much as we can because they will not be here
forever like I have found out.
So I write this poem to show how grateful I am of my mother
whom in my 9 years with her, showed me the world.

tears to my eyes, i agree that we
should be grateful for the people
