A Liar's Love

Contributed by ShadowsCloud on Saturday, 18th December 2004 @ 03:52:10 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

People think of love as a big thing,
when really, it's a one-night fling.
One night of pleasure, nine months of pain,
he tells her he loves her and gives her his ring.

The pregnancy test does not lie,
all of her dreams shatter and die.
Total denial is what she finds,
excuses and options fill his mind

He told her he loved her,
she believed him too.
Now that he is gone,
there is nothing to do.

People think of love as a big thing,
when really, it's a one-night fling.
One night of pleasure, nine months of pain.
in a liar's love, it's all just a game.

Sometimes love is a big things, but sometimes when someone thinks it's love, that's not really what it is at all.

Good write.

*hugs*

Love hurts when two people cant comunicate, and bringing a baby into that relationship will only worsen it. Great write so true a 5/5.

Hugs,

Certainly, the love that you are reffering to isn't real. You shouldn't have used the word love but rather lust

It does happen that way sometimes. On the other hand, there are these good guys who stick around no matter what and help raise other men's children. But for liars, yes, this is the kind of "love" they give.
Good rhymes, good concise description!
Cheers!

This is such a sad reality so many must face. One of the most trecherous masks we wear is Love.

Really well written and gets to the reader. But, love is never a one-night fling, trust me. it is something much bigger and together than that.. I'm sorry that you feel that way. It will come, trust me.
