kind words can mean so much
.....especially if it come from some one who you love
Words are like stones
When it comes to how they are
When they hit the waters of a soul
A kind word is like a small one
Skipping across the waters making
Ripples of emotion grow and grow
Making some one feel better with every ripple that is formed
But send one unkind word one large and heavy stone
And those ripples turn to waves sending you crashing onto the shore
And you are left broken and scattered on the rocks that leave you torn
Filling you with pain and unmaking what you have worked so hard to be
Those ripple form and then they start to fade
But what they made you feel from your side will never stray
Another rock can be thrown and let more ripples form
But in that same easy and simple way another unkind word can do the same
Scattering the broken pieces of you heart and making you feel so torn apart
Filling you with sorrow and wanting to keep you from a happy morrow
Because you awaken and realize that you have cried you self to sleep again
Words can do so much good and in that they can do much harm
Words even though just words can still hurt
Sometimes even more than any physical pain
Because wounds will sometimes heal but words
Can sometimes scar
………..especially if it is from some one who you love

| i loved this. besides that other poem, the one you worked on till 6, this is my favorite. how about i have two favorite poems from you? i thought you presented the topic well. it was very well expressed. you wrote it wonderfully. every stanza was hard hitting. because they were full of sense, power, and emotion. words are very powerful and can create or destroy. but they always leave a lasting impression. can you please teach me how to write? =] |
