I visit my home in my mind
I left it long ago, wondering what I will find
Against my will I forgot about it
I never really got over that hit
Walking in the door in my mind
Almost scared to see what I will find
Walking among broken shards of glass
I push aside fallen drapes so I can pass
Into my childhood home I go
I look around, fall to my knees and scream at the silence, NO!
Turning around in my mind
To see the glory of my broken find
I remember the moments of my childhood past
I wonder now where they ever meant to last
The home in which I spent my childish days
It crumbles where it lays
Picking my way through in my mind
Crying from this devastating find
Picking up a crystal shard
Placing it against my wrist, delicately marred
Dying in my childhood home
Now among this mess lies my tombstone
