You may think me foolish writing this poem
But this is what lies in my head shaped dome
So please sit and listen to my rhymes
And you will hear my soft blown chimes
We dream of lands we can never know
Where tales are tall and fairies glow
Where men come down chimneys into our home
And the language of elves is written in chrome
Sirens sing their fate full song
To sailors who to home they long
All the souls plenty with love
And ghouls befriending the dove
With a giant upon a bean stalk
And trolls in which the mountains they walk
Wonders are out there
And secrets they stay for not all is fair
This land is so small and we grow
Out of this land we can never know
These lands are of which we dream
For tales are small and fairies lose their gleam
And the man is lost and the chimney is absent
And the word of elves is spent
Sirens sing for the sailor’s death
Temptation is what they chose along with the loss of breath
Not all the souls are glad to live
And terror is what ghouls give
No room for plants or abnormalities
And trolls locked up without any keys
Ugly or beautiful truth is there
And light alone tells no lie and is hence so fair
