Making the Memory

Contributed by sweetpea23 on Friday, 17th December 2004 @ 10:08:52 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Forgetting the way your eyes look when you wear blue,
Forgetting all the times you said I love you.
Remembering when you didn't want to talk,
Making the memory of when you said get lost.

Forgetting the way you held me tight,
Forgetting I ever wanted to stay the night.
Remembering when you didn't call,
Making the memory of when you weren't there at all.

Forgetting the times you kissed my forehead,
Forgetting all the memories in your bed.
Remembering when you said get your crap and get out,
Making the memory of when you didn't want me around.

Forgetting the times you said its ok I’m here,
Forgetting the way you took away all my fears.
Remembering the time you sold all my things,
Making the memory of the way you played all your games.

Forgetting the way I fell so in love,
Forgetting that I thought you were sent from above.
Remembering you and me together,
Making the memory of when we said we would be apart never.

Forgetting they way we use to fight,
Forgetting when I wouldn’t talk to you all night.
Remembering the way we would both apologize,
Making the memory of when we would both cry.

Forgetting the way I wanted out,
Forgetting the times I had my doubts.
Remembering the times I only wanted you,
Makin the memory of when you wanted me too.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
