Oh my Love

You can always say the things that kill.
Your words like rusted daggers fill my chest,
bulls eye, the heart.
Your tounge drips poision
worse than the deadliest venomous snake
and still
your hatefull words continue to fall
with the rush and roar
of Niagra Falls.
I turn and give those very same words back to you
funny how that is all
you seem to hear, never the pain that you give me.
But still,
I go on living,
living each day like I don't care,
and really,
I don't care about you,
you have given me nothing to hold on to,
except your sickening words.
Words that are just as ugly as your face
and your name.
But,
it's me that I care about,
and only me.
Never once have you asked to see what I bleed,
you only remind me of what I don't have.
Well,
let me tell you what I DO have.
I have strength.
Strength to get up every morning and do what I need to do
in order to live
while you sleep.
I guess it's best that you keep your own bed warm
as ugly as you are,
no on else with be there to do it for you.
