Pain

Contributed by pleasure_is_pain103 on Thursday, 16th December 2004 @ 07:14:48 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Laughter can't always hide someone's pain
Cause where the laughter ends,
The pain remains.
I had always been the strongest one of all,
But no matter my strength
I always seem to fall

I never thought
I would look back at my happiness and cry
It hurts so much to smile
So I don't even want to try
This lingering pain keeps killing me everyday
Its like a nightmare
But when I wake up it doesn't go away

The people who are supposed to care,
Just tell me to snap out of it
If only they knew,
how hard it is to deal with this,
I have nothing to do,
No one to love
And nothing to hope for
For all purposes I'm dead-
Lying on the floor...

Your right, no one's pain really goes away. It still sticks around, but it gets easier over time don't worry.

I really like your poem. You are an extremely good writer. I can sort of releate to it. As somone in an earlier comment said, it is very well explained.
