Trek to Essence

Contributed by newewe on Thursday, 16th December 2004 @ 02:53:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

There was a cherub quite small
Yet so etched in verse
That chloroform emitted from his parsley chords

If in doubt he would say
Ask the wise man of golden tones
So I asked
And what?, oh speaker of karat rhymes
Do you bring in oft of thine own sweet words?

To which he replied
If a question is asked
Then in answer a question shall be given
But you are much more endowed than i!
Am I?
Think about it

Save not old things
For the past remains
Only for reference to mistakes

So be it I said
And I shall not dwell on accomplished things

Trodding further upon a gaze
A gaze of hope
I spied the heaving of the Millesian depths

The Isle of Sincillios lie below
A rock which drawn
Cut crystal

There in the streets
A cart slowly turned
Its wheels in agony

A well for all

A beggar

And there
Beneath a shelf
Was a maiden
With a tear

Please maiden the tear be stopped
For what has it fallen?

It has fallen for a realization of the essence
The essence?
Yes

I know thyself.

Thank you for your kind words. Trek to Essence is simply that. If one finds the essence of themself then that is the basis of you and the foundation of your existence. To find the essence of a person or thing is the truth of understanding....................doug
