Mystery Guy

Contributed by Niccy on Thursday, 16th December 2004 @ 02:00:19 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

I see you like ten times everyday at school,
You’re always looking so cool,

I feel like you’re always staring at me,
Like the way I stare at the sea,

Every time I look at you, you smile at me,
A smile worth walking a million miles to see,

Everyday I search for signs to see,
If you really do care for me,

I fear that you don’t really like me,
How horrible would that be,

Everyday I wait for you to prove,
That you’re brave enough to make a move,

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you,
And wondering if you’re thinking about me too,

I really wish you’d talk to me,
If you did, how wonderful would that be,

You seem shy,
I wish you weren’t that kind of guy,

Because if you weren’t shy,
You wouldn’t just stand there and look at the sky,

It’s funny because I don’t even know you’re name,
I know it’s such a shame,

Some say I’m too young to know what love is,
All I know is that I would rather have love than riches,

As I walked down the stairs today,
There you were at the bottom like you are everyday,

You were watching me as I walked down,
I didn’t see you so I was just looking around,

I wish so much that I could talk to you,
But that’s something I cannot do,

Because more and more everyday I begin to see,
That being brave is really not me,

I think about you as I look at the sky,
I think about you, my mystery guy.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
