Dead and cold
Ready to bury
But emotions fill the hole,
Confusion swirls
Throughout my head
And out of my control,
Such confusion
Causes grief
There’s nothing I can do,
But wait and cope
Hope for luck
But I doubt it’s on the menu,
Instead is angst
Woe and sorrow
And you’re told to just forget,
Let it go
Move on forward
Try not to get upset,
Easy to say
Hard to do
Especially when it’s me,
Cast your line
Up off this shore
Dig deep into the sea
