°°°Sharon°°°

Contributed by OreO on Thursday, 28th November 2002 @ 06:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Tributes

Sitting in the car one day
Our mom drove really slow
I was around 16 i'd say
I didn't know where we'd go

I asked where are we going mom?
She smiled, and looked ahead
I knew that it was somewhere sad
The way she kept turning her head

When we arrived at the gates
I became very curious and sad
I wasnt sure what i'd see
It was a part of our mom's past

I saw your tiny headstone
I asked who you were
She said that is your sister
I just froze and looked at her

I didnt ask no more that day
Because it was so sad
But i asked about you later
Not long after i met my real dad

She said you only lived 2 days
That you were her very life
Just know that we do love you
And with you gone it don't seem right

I don't know if mom ever told you
Her favorite flower's named after you
"Rose of Sharon" is what she calls them
They remind her of Granny and you

I have one thing to say here
I love you very much
In my heart you'll live forever
You truly have all my love

-I Love You Sis-

Hi OreO

Great poem but a very sad story. The things life throws at us are hard to understand.

It's a lovely write and and a fitting tribute to your sister XXX

As I was shown a life now gone, I found a love I had never known. May the peace of love find you never wanting.
