Topic:
Suicide
|
Losing conciousness with each breath,
Getting closer to the end.
I take a final gaze of my surroundings,
And endless thoughts run through my head.
The light seems a thousand times brighter than before,
The wallpaper dull and colorless.
I listen to the faint whisperings of the empty house,
This place I've called home for so long.
Suddenly a sharp pain of regret wreathes my body,
Knowing what awaits the arrival of my family....me.
Dull, lifless, and unmoving,
The blood stained knife laying by my side.
My vision begins to blur and I take one final look,
At my wrists stained with blood and I whisper........release.

Interesting one, most people write about the emotions that drive them to suicide rather than the actual waiting process itself. I found your regret contradictory with your final whisper of "release" though. But nice work =) |

I agree with wray-
Why ask for release while having remorse...
It was a good write though...
