Captious stares rapture your thoughts,
Thoughts of expatriation that have been festering at the back of your mind...
Feelings of disapproval and acceptance lock you in your own hideaway,
Trapping you between the thin lines of reality and the pretense world you have created for your refuge...
Your desire for the comfort of people fades away,
Your own thoughts and wishful daydreams lulling you into the solitary depths of your mind...
You are safe
You are beautiful
You are loved
But as your physical form ages, you are still an innocent in your mind, your home...
The real world begins to drag you back, pulling you into its dark abyss of hate and critical requirements...
The world as you know it is falling apart
Taking you with it along with all of the iniquities
When it all comes crashing down,
Where is your beautiful place?
Where is your home?
