I'm not the one

Contributed by pleasure_is_pain103 on Wednesday, 15th December 2004 @ 05:57:32 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I know I'm not that easy to love
And I'm not the girl anyone's dreaming of
I just wish I knew what I've done wrong
I shouldn't have to change myself just to be strong

So this is who I've become to cope
With losing you and all of my hope
Of finding anyone who'll love me for me
And someone to treat my like they want what they see

Even if you wanted to come back-I wouldn't stay
I'd only be waiting for the next time you'll walk away
So I shouldn't miss everything about you
If I tell my heart enough, that's what i'll do

You said we're over-i think im beginning to agree
But I still want you to come home to me
I was a better person, before you dissapeared
Now I'm stuck with the me I've always feared

We've all been there haven't we? Nice write. The meter feels a little pushed at times but it makes it's point.
Congrats.

That lonely path we walk is a very lonely path, especially when our hearts have been forsaken. Our hearts are stronger than we give them credit for, however it is so hard to see when it's dark. Poignant write full of emotion.

peace
