Laughing together,
at inocent jokes.
Smiling together,
as each of us pokes.

You are my friend,
my saviour in desguise.
You may not know it,
but you helped me lose those lies.

Hidden behind this mask,
a mask of hidden life.
You helped me with my pain,
you helped me put down the knife.

If it wasn't for you,
I may have been gone.
A life so untrue,
my life felt like a con.

Now I'm sitting here,
beside you, my friend.
You were there for my down times,
so for you a shoulder I will lend.
