Lying in your arms
Was like the earth's crust thrust
Within my shoulders
The devil has gotten bolder
Time has grown older
And the air has turned colder...
Mist is in my eyes
I have flattered the lady to foolishness
I think I shall turn in for the day
But it is at night
When I will once again
Reappear to this feasting crowd
In the feast of the blood acres
Where the men are not tamed by civilian manners
I do not know where you have
Been in my mind climbing around on ladders
And bent-metal pressed against loose teeth
"Lady, may I give you a cold kiss?"
The cold kiss of one who is living
Yet who is not living
The kiss, it is cold to the lips
Freezes them,
And then...
"Can you see into the future?"
"Of course not. Let's step away from the flames of daybreak."

Lee, these get better with each write ... perhaps we should put Drais and my Blood Flower together for a night out on the town ... Macabre mayhem would surely ensue !!!
