A moment of desperation
We cry to the stars
We scream out a curse
But the sky is too far
We're writhing in pain
A heartbreak again
We're tired of crying
We want it to end!
Angels in disguise
Don't get beaten down
We have wings of black
We put you in the ground
You're haunted by screams
And you drown in our tears
Love poisons our blood
And feeds us our fear
We hide our cuts
Ourselves we blame
We see our whole world
Go up in flames
We find poetry
In love and loss
We suffer for love
No matter the cost
